Reiki Touch Therapy

Usui Makao learnt spiritual and martial arts, at a young age. He had a profound mystic experience after fasting whilst exposed to cold on a mountain top for 3 weeks. This led to Usui Reiki Ryo-Ho. The modern translation of "Reiki" means universal or spirit-soul energy.  

In the past, there has been a lot of secrecy about Reiki. However, some of these "secrets" are now out in the public domain and so a bit more can be written. These days Reiki teaches meditation and hands on healing from the start. Earlier in its history, it seems that spiritual and meditative aspects were more emphasised at the start than occurs in present day times.  In other words, people learnt to meditate and later on learnt hands on healing. In any event, Reiki Touch Therapy utilises direct touch to several or all energy (aka tension) centres located on head, torso and limbs. Hovering hands are sometimes used first to identify the energy centres that are touched to facilitate the recipient's experience of Reiki energy. It is a lesser known fact that Usui Makao was a very highly ranked martial artist and licensed to teach his art in Japan. A couple of the Japanese martial-mystic systems Owen learnt as a child are closely related to the martial system that Usui taught in his early adult life. 

Owen is a Professional Reiki Treatment Practitioner Member of the Australian Reiki Connection - the Association of Australian Reiki Professionals.  This also guarantees that his Reiki lineage goes back to the founder of Reiki, Usui Makao. Owen is a Reikimaster trained in Western (Takata) & Japanese Usui Reiki. At the present time, he is not accepting new Reiki Students for training but offers Reiki healing treatments.
