Facilitated Supine Stillness Meditative Experience

A transitional pathway from Reiki or Pellowah towards Stillness Meditation Tuition
Supine Stillness Meditation is also offered as a passive treatment ie a facilitated supine Stillness Meditative experience. This approach can also be used to transition into learning Stillness Meditation by people who have some experience with Reiki or similar modalities. After the usual discussion about recipient preferences, the recipient simply lies down like they usually do for Reiki or Pellowah and Owen does the rest. Things may proceed that way for a couple of sessions. Next, the addition of coaching during further sessions will help you to learn to experience Stillness whenever and wherever you happen to be.
Unfortunately, a few Stillness Meditation teachers may not be unaware that Dr Meares facilitated Stillness Meditation with a single meditator lying down. This approach has various advantages over the upright postures the meditator adopted in Dr Meares' classes and can lead to a very deep relaxing meditative experience (Meares 1979). However, one must be very experienced in both (a) the use of soothing touch and near touch to the torso and (b) the supine position. Owen is uniquely qualified to offer Supine Stillness Meditation as a treatment and as a transitional approach for those who wish to learn Stillness Meditation rather than just attend for "tune up" treatments. Of course, that is entirely a matter of personal preference for each individual.
